Flu Vaccination Rules and Checker
CHANGES TO FLU VACCINATION RULES
COME INTO EFFECT ON 1 JANUARY 2011
To
summarise the changes: Providing
that a horse has been given the
first two vaccinations correctly and
that there are no errors in the
annual vaccinations for the past
five calendar years then the horse
will be accepted for BRC Qualifiers
and Championships.
On
Blackberry phones – Email the
flu vacc checker to yourself or
go to the BRC website and find
it. When you then click on it an
option will come up to ask if
you want to open or download it.
Choose to download it and choose
where you want to save it. Then
go to the file and open it and
it should work!!
On
iPhones – You firstly need to
download an application that
lets you edit spreadsheets.
There are a couple of free ones
available i.e ‘Documents to go’.
Once you have installed this
app, either email the flu vacc
checker to yourself or go to the
BRC website and find it. Once
you open it, you should then be
able to use it as normal! If
using it via the website, once
it is open, save the page as a
favourite to your home screen
and then it creates a button on
your home screen which will
access it instantly.
On
other touch screen phones
similar to iPhones, you need to
download an application that
will allow you to edit excel
spreadsheets, and then these
should work too.
The
NLRC AGM was held at the
Maitlandfield House Hotel,
Haddington on 10th November. A
good discussion was held regarding
the type of competitions which
members would like to see during
2011. The summer points winners
were also announced, with dressage
winners being Michelle Gray
(walk-trot/restricted prelim),
Natalie Smith (open prelim) and
Linda Pantellerisco (novice).
Show Jumping winners were Louise
Bourhill (pre n/novice), Margaret
MacKay (n/novice), Alison Scougall
(novice) and Brenda Findlay
(intermediate). Congratulations to
all! Louise Bourhill won the
2010 Helpers Award and many thanks
to her for invaluable assistance
through the year, along with
everyone else who came along to
events to help. We can't run
these shows without you. Results in
full are on the results page.
